Doodling a panel

Hi Everyone!
I am trying my hand at doodling these days…actually have been doing it for years, but always in the corners of notebooks…
Today I decided to make a background panel for a card. So, using an image from traditional Kalamkari print as inspiration.
Here is what I came up with….

Doodling a panel 1
I doodled with pencil, watercoloured the panel and then went over the pencil lines with a Staedtler black fine liner. I added a vellum panel with a stamped sentiment from Kaisercraft and affixed it with ribbon for interest.
For my second card, I took inspiration from the traditional Madhubani style of painting to create this panel. The sentiments are the same as the ones used above, from Kaisercraft.

Doodling a panel 2
I am quite happy with my first couple of efforts at doodling.
What do you think?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great night!
