A Brown Valentine Card

Since Jan and Feb is all about creating Valentine projects.. I wanted to
create some too..  But these days I am super busy with creating my
niece Kiara’s announcement stuff.. So today I am gonna share a card with
you which was made for Valentines a few weeks back.. The best part I
like about this card is that I made a Valentine Day card which did not
have red’s in it.. It had lots of brown and muted red.. I really love
how the card came along..
So here is the card –

I love the way the brown has meshed along with the pinks and reds.. And the best part is it can be given to male since its brown 🙂 .. So here are some more images with the details –

Love the way the red rhinestones add the depth to the card.. Also the hemispherical pearls give a look of elegance..

The flourish and small flowers I have used is a Spellbinder die and colored using distress inks.. I have done a lots of distressing on the card.. The primary colors I have used are Aged Mahagony, Antique Line and Vintage Photo.. The image is from Lily of the Valley.. I have colored it using my Staedtler water color pencils..Then once the image was dry then I distressed entire image paper with Antique Linen .. Wait for the image to dry or else your water colors and inks will combine and may give u an unwanted effect 🙂

I have used some ribbons from my Stash.. And the pattern paper is from Paper Mania Collection.. The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink..
So hope I have inspired you to use odd colors for the most obvious themes.. You will also see loads of new projects coming up with browns because I just love the vintage look.. So until the next time..
Happy Crafting,
